Home buyers benefit from using a REALTOR with a GRI designation
Buying a home is probably the biggest single investment you’ll ever make. When purchasing a home, it’s a good idea to surround yourself with knowledgeable people within the real estate industry, including a REALTOR with a GRI.
|
- A GRI helps you determine how much home you can actually afford. Often a GRI can suggest additional ways to accrue the down payment and explain financing options.
- A GRI has remote access to thousands of up to the minute listings and can evaluate those listings in terms of affordability and suitability – size, style, features, location, etc. A GRI will not waste time showing you homes that do not meet your needs.
- A GRI can supply information on real estate values, taxes, utility costs, municipal services and facilities, and may be aware of proposed zoning changes that could affect your decision to buy
- A GRI can suggest changes within an available home that could make it more suitable to your needs.
- A GRI has no emotional ties to available homes, therefore, he/she can point out advantages and disadvantages in an objective manner.
- When a GRI is acting as a buyer’s agent, he/she will negotiate the most favorable price and terms on your behalf.
- A GRI knows the local market and can provide insight you might not be able to get anywhere else.
- A GRI can explain the closing process in advance so you know what to expect.
- A GRI will tell you if local law requires an attorney to be present and can provide a list of qualified attorneys if you need one.
